The Minerva Park Police Department is seeking two full-time and two part-time officers. The department is a full-time police department with five full-time and five part-time officers as needed.  The unchartered picturesque village has a population of approximately 1,300 residents and is located in the northeast corner of Franklin County, southwest of Westerville.

Full-time Police Officer

The department is seeking interested applicants with the following minimum qualifications to fill open positions: must be a U.S. citizen, has a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver's license, and be a current certified Ohio peace officer.  Preferred qualifications are: a bachelor's degree and prior law enforcement experience. A background check, polygraph test, psychological test, and a medical physical test will be required on all selected candidates. The salary for full-time officers is $23.20 per hour with benefits.

 

Part-time Police Officer

The department is seeking interested applicants with the following minimum qualifications to fill open positions: must be a U.S. citizen, has a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver's license, and is a current certified Ohio peace officer.  Preferred qualifications are: a bachelor's degree and prior law enforcement experience. A background check, polygraph test, psychological test, and a medical physical test will be required on all selected candidates. The salary for part-time officers is $17.50 per hour without benefits. Consideration is given to part-time officers first when openings occur for full-time positions.
